I created this high school French class because I couldn't find what I truly wanted for my own children anywhere.
I want my children—and yours—to enjoy a Charlotte Mason French feast: poetry, stories, art, history, geography, and nature study. French the living way! I want our children to be able to have meaningful conversations and to express ideas beautifully in French.
French One: the Living Way is the perfect balance of all a French class should be—meaningful practice to get you speaking, clear pronunciation guidance, grammar gently woven through the stories, repetition of vocabulary through picture study, and so much more. It's a living French course designed to provide relational instruction and guided practice while earning a high school credit.
Structured similarly to my live classes, this option gives you a flexible, self-paced format. And now, the first half is available!
The lessons include folk songs, poetry, copywork, picture study, and reading. Rather than memorizing sentences to parrot back, students are encouraged to play with the language—to form their own unique original thoughts using the vocabulary and structures they have learned.
