Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 3, 2026. This policy describes how CM Everyday French (“we,” “us”) handles information when you visit https://localhost:5173 (the “site”).
Information we collect
- Contact you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.
- Email list signups. When you join our list through the signup link on the site, you are taken to our email provider’s page. They collect the information you submit there (for example, name and email) on our behalf.
- Purchases. If you buy something from our shop, payment and order details are processed by our payment provider. We do not store full payment card numbers on our servers.
- Site usage and device data. Like most websites, our hosting and related services may automatically receive technical information such as IP address, browser type, and general usage data to operate and secure the site.
- Theme preference. If you choose light or dark mode, that choice may be stored in your browser (local storage) so the site remembers your preference.
How we use information
We use the information above to respond to messages, run classes and the shop, send updates you have signed up for, improve the site, meet legal obligations, and protect against fraud or abuse.
Service providers
We rely on trusted third parties to help operate the site—for example, payment processing (such as Stripe), email marketing (such as Kit), and website hosting. Those providers process data according to their own privacy policies and only as needed to perform services for us.
Links to other sites
The site may link to Instagram or other services. If you follow a link, that service’s privacy policy applies to information you give them—not this policy.
Children’s privacy
Our offerings are designed for families and homeschool use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the site beyond what is reasonably necessary to respond to a parent or guardian or to provide a service you have requested. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13 in error, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
Retention
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law.
Your choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages. You may contact us to ask about access, correction, or deletion of personal information we hold, subject to applicable law.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
